How to choose
Which plan fits which family?
Stay free if your needs are the everyday core: one Circle, the live map, home-and-school alerts, SOS. Plenty of families never need more, and the free plan is built to be enough — not a teaser.
Choose Premium the year someone starts driving, or when two saved places stops covering your week. The driving bundle (reports, speed alerts, crash detection) is the most common upgrade trigger, with unlimited places and “not home by 10” scheduled rules close behind. The digital-wellbeing tools for younger kids ride along in the same plan.
Choose Premium+ when your family has layers: a grandparents Circle alongside the household, a seasonal carpool, or simply the wish for a 90-day memory instead of 30. Priority support is included, though our standard support answers everyone.
Two honest notes. First, if your entire household is on one platform and you only want a basic map, your phone's built-in tool may be all you need — we'd rather tell you that than oversell. Second, all billing runs through Google Play or the App Store, so your payment details never touch our servers, and cancellation is the standard two-tap store flow with no retention tricks on our side.
What your subscription actually pays for
It's reasonable to ask why a map costs money when the data is “just GPS”. The answer is everything around the GPS: the always-on infrastructure that relays encrypted positions in seconds across 150+ countries, the server-side rule engine checking every scheduled alert every minute, the trip-detection and crash-classification work that runs per driver per day, and the support humans who answer within 24 hours. Premium families fund all of it — including the free tier — which is exactly the arrangement that lets us refuse advertising and data sales. When you pay for the product, you stay the customer.
Billing fine print, minus the fine print
Subscriptions bill through your app store, so upgrades, downgrades, refunds and cancellation all follow Google's and Apple's standard mechanics — including their refund processes, which we honor without argument. Switching between monthly and annual takes effect at the next renewal. One subscription follows the family even across platform switches: if the paying parent moves from iPhone to Android, the plan migrates with the account. Prices shown are USD; your store displays local currency and applicable taxes at checkout, and existing subscribers are always grandfathered through any price change for at least one renewal cycle with advance notice.
